Nicholas Skalba is an award-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Originally from Chicago, Nick studied composition and earned his Master’s Degree in Scoring for Film and Television from Columbia College Chicago. Long before his formal training in orchestration, he was immersed in beat-making, recording, and synthesis—passions that continue to shape his hybrid musical voice.

With a deep appreciation for genre-blending and sonic experimentation, Nick has developed a unique, sophisticated sound that stands out in the music and media industry. He frequently collaborates with Academy Award-winning composer Mychael Danna, contributing additional music and arrangements across a wide range of projects.

Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2008, Nick’s work has spanned film, TV, and streaming—contributing music to Onward (Disney/Pixar), The Addams Family 1 & 2 (winner, HMMA for Best Original Score), and Return to Space (Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Music Composition for a Documentary). He also scored the Annie Award-winning animated series Ghee Happy.
